{"id":4513,"date":"2021-06-10T09:53:56","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T09:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carlcon.com\/?p=4513"},"modified":"2021-06-10T09:53:57","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T09:53:57","slug":"association-rates-nigerian-capital-market-as-resilient","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carlcon.com\/old\/2021\/06\/10\/association-rates-nigerian-capital-market-as-resilient\/","title":{"rendered":"Association rates Nigerian capital market as resilient"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Association of Securities Dealing Houses of Nigeria (ASHON) says the Nigerian capital market has the capacity to survive the ongoing insecurity and macroeconomic vagaries militating against investment opportunities in the country.<br>Chief Onyenwechukwu Ezeagu, ASHON Chairman, said in Lagos while proposing some measures to revive the securities market and noted that the stock market had always exhibited resilience.<br>He said the securities market could be revived through enhancement of stockbrokers\u2019 liquidity and implementation of some policies to boost investment in the market.<br>\u201cThe stock market could be said to have become resilient to upheavals in the economy but with the heightened insecurity, we want to believe that the market will survive.<br>\u201cGiven that opinion leaders have continually advised the actors to jaw-jaw rather than war-war.<br>\u201cWe all need to tone down our words and actions for our country to avert catastrophe and ensure that our economy is sustained.<br>\u201cThe successful completion of the demutualisation process was a great delight to securities dealers.
